I’ve been procrastinating. And when you find out what I’ve been putting off you’ll all be horrified. I’ve known about this little farm about 20 minutes from home for about a year. They sell raw milk, yogurt, eggs, fryer chickens and all the NT fermented beverages that you could think of as well as cultures to start your own, cheese making kits and stock kits. I’ve been procrastinating, well, because of the money and the time to go out there, and I admit I was a little nervous about getting things not from the grocery store. How silly am I?
I finally went out there, and it was like going to the holy land. I got to see first hand what it would be like to have a farm with free range chickens, goats, and cows. Oh the simplicity of living this way! Their store front was a large kitchen that was adjacent to the house. They have it set up so that you can help yourself to whatever you’d like, all ready prepared and bottled or frozen. You write yourself a receipt and leave a check. I was in awe that they were so trusting and open to strangers. She walked me through the process over the phone because they were away on an errand, and this was the first time I’d been there! I suppose that people that care enough about their health that they would search out this little farm (it’s not highly advertised), would also be honest and trustworthy (you would hope!).
So we left with a fryer chicken, a dozen eggs that had been collected hours before, a bottle of raw milk yogurt and a bottle of Kombucha. Now that I know about this little piece of heaven I will never buy these items anywhere else. In order to get the raw milk we need to be on a waiting list, and you can rest assured that we are!
God Bless them for what they do on that little farm! And now I will sit down and have my first taste of raw milk yogurt and freshly made kombucha! Cheers to our health!! And Cheers to you my fellow nourishers! I never would have known about these things had I not stumbled upon this website on a fateful day about a year ago!
